Expert Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Calibration and Windscreen Services
Modern vehicles increasingly rely on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, or ADAS, to help drivers stay safe on the road. These systems use cameras, sensors, radar and onboard computers to monitor your surroundings, provide real-time alerts and, in some cases, take corrective action to prevent accidents. Features like lane keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking and parking assistance all depend on the precise alignment of these components.
When a windscreen is replaced or removed, the cameras and sensors mounted on or behind the glass may become misaligned. Even a small shift can affect how your vehicle’s ADAS interprets the road. Without proper calibration, safety features may activate incorrectly, fail to respond when needed, or display false warnings. For both safety and compliance, manufacturer-recommended ADAS calibration is essential after any windscreen replacement or front-end work
Why ADAS Calibration Is Important
ADAS is designed to support your driving, not replace it. Accurate calibration ensures that systems function correctly and respond as intended. Misaligned cameras or sensors can lead to:
• Lane guidance errors
• Unexpected or false warnings
• Failure of automatic braking or collision alerts
• Incorrect blind spot detection
• Parking assistance or adaptive cruise control errors
Professional ADAS calibration restores full functionality, giving you confidence that all safety features are working exactly as designed.
When to Schedule ADAS Calibration
You should arrange calibration if:
- Your windscreen has been replaced or repaired
- Camera or sensor mounts were disturbed during repairs
- Your vehicle has undergone front-end or body panel work
- Suspension or wheel alignment adjustments have been made
- You notice unusual alerts, warning lights, or erratic ADAS behaviour
If you are unsure whether your car is equipped with ADAS, our team can confirm it based on your vehicle’s make and model.
